Deddy Mulyana is a communication professor in the Faculty of Communication Sciences Universitas Padjadjaran Indonesia. He is the former dean of the faculty (2008-2016). He received his Master’s degree from the Department of Communication Studies Northern Illinois University USA (1986) and his doctoral degree from the Department of Anthropology and Sociology Monash University Australia (1996). He has written over 30 books, over 20 journal articles, and hundreds of newspaper columns.
