HUBUNGAN EKSPLORASI KARIER DENGAN KEBIMBANGAN KARIER PADA SISWA SMA KELAS XII DI JADEBOTABEK
Abstract
Siswa SMA kelas XII seharusnya sudah merencanakan kariernya, salah satunya dengan menentukan pilihan jurusan di perguruan tinggi. Akan tetapi, hal tersebut bukanlah keputusan yang mudah bagi siswa SMA. Banyak diantara mereka mengalami kebimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan kebimbangan tersebut ialah kurangnya infromasi. Saat ini, informasi mengenai jurusan dan bidang pekerjaan dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh siswa SMA. Sayangnya, siswa SMA belum memanfaatkan kemudahan tersebut secara optimal. Hal tersebut mengindikasi bahwa siswa SMA kelas XII kurang melakukan eksplorasi karier, baik eksplorasi diri (self exploration) maupun eksplorasai lingkungan (environmetal exploration). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dengan kebimbangan karier pada siswa SMA kelas XII, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Kebimbangan karier diukur dengan Career Decision Scale (CDS) dan eksplorasi karier diukur dengan Career exploration Survey (CES). Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 253 siswa SMA kelas XII di JABODETABEK dengan menggunakan teknik incidental sampling. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa individu yang memiliki environmen exploration yang tinggi, akan memiliki kebimbangan karier yang rendah. Sementara itu, self exploration tidak berkaitan dengan kebimbangan karier yang dialami oleh siswa SMA kelas XII. Oleh karena itu, salah satu cara yang dilakukan untuk menurunkan kebimbangan karier adalah mencari infromasi mengenai jurusan.
