Si la hir di Bandung, 3 0 Ma ret 1 9 5 9 .  Me ra i h  doktor  bid a ng  il mu  Sos ia l    P Ps Universitas Padjadjaran (2 0 0 5).  Ia a dalah dosen Kopertis Wilayah IV Jawa Barat yang dipekerjakan di Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Jurusan Jurnalistik Unisba (1986-sekarang). Saat ini menjabat Ketua Program Magister Komunikasi Pascasarjana Unisba dan menjadi Pemimpin Redaksi buletin Kopertis Wilayah IV (19 96-sekarang). Menjadi   penyunting di beberapa majalah ilmiah, se perti : Tr i d h a r m a Kopertis Wilayah IV,   J ur na l IS KI, Is su e, J ur na l Balai Diklat Depkominfo. Mengajar di beberapa PTS di Bandung, juga menjadi pembimbing dan penelaah S2, S3 di Pascasarjana Unpad. Tahun 2006,  menjadi narasumber dalam “Konvensi Peringatan Hari Pers N a sional,” ya ng dipu sa tk a n di Ba ndung.
