PENERAPAN PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA SURYA SKALA RUMAH SEDERHANA DI DESA LAHOPANG KABUPATEN SITARO PROVINSI SULAWESI UTARA

Abstract

This application of science and technology for community development is aimed to introduce applied  technology of solar home system in Lahopang village which is located in Siau island, Sitaro District, North Sulawesi provience of Indonesia. In addition, this program is a real action implementation of university tridharma Sam Ratulangi University in implementing community-based solutions to the problems of energy for rural and remote area. Method of implementation of this activity consists of several stages, namely: (1) Application of solar home system technology as an example for a selected house in the village; (2) Training and technical guidance on the operation and maintenance of the solar home system for the enhancement of knowledge and skills on the technology applied. Through technology transfer in this activities, it is expected that technology implementation will be maintained in the future; (3) Counseling for increasing awareness of conservation of electric energy for island communities.
