Knowledge and Attitude of Indonesian Breastmilk Donors Via Internet with Their Behavior

Abstract


Breastmilk sharing via the internet is a rapidly growing infant feeding practice. This study aims to analyze the correlation between the knowledge and attitude to the behavior of breastmilk donors implementation via internet in Indonesia. These were a cross-sectional study with 41 respondents of breastmilk donors who posted the information via Facebook community titled Human Milk 4 Human Babies (HM4HB) Indonesia in January–December 2016. Questionnaires used google form application while statistical analysis using the Spearman test with α=0.05. The result showed a correlation between knowledge and behavior of breastmilk sharing with a p-value of 0.080 while the relationship between attitude and behavior of breastmilk sharing have a p-value of 0.715. In conclusion, there is no correlation between the attitude of breastmilk donors with the practice of breastmilk sharing via the internet.

 

PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP PENDONOR ASI TERHADAP PERILAKU DONOR ASI VIA INTERNET DI INDONESIA

Donor ASI semakin marak dan dapat dilakukan para ibu dengan mudah dan pesat melalui internet. Kegiatan ini merupakan upaya agar bayi bisa mendapatkan manfaat penting ASI. Namun, pendonor dan penerima donor ASI tidak mempertimbangkan risiko penularan infeksi yang bisa terjadi. Perilaku pendonor ASI via internet yang tidak tertuang dalam posting-an, membuat status mutu dan kualitas ASI tidak dapat diketahui dari segi kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap pendonor ASI terhadap perilaku donor ASI via internet di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik cross sectional. Populasi penelitian merupakan pendonor ASI yang mem-posting informasi ASI perahnya untuk dibagikan melalui komunitas Human Milk 4 Human Babies (HM4HB) Indonesia di Facebook pada Januari–Desember 2016. Sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan mengirimkan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner tentang ASI dan donor ASI dalam bentuk google form, didapatkan responden 41 orang. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan Spearman, tingkat kepercayaan α=0,05. Hasil penelitian adalah 53,7% responden berpengetahuan baik, 70,7% memiliki sikap cukup, dan 53,7% memiliki perilaku kurang. Nilai p untuk pengetahuan terhadap perilaku responden p=0,080 dan nilai sikap terhadap perilaku responden p=0,715. Simpulan, tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap pendonor ASI terhadap perilaku pendonor ASI via internet di Indonesia.
