Peran Guru dalam Menumbuhkan Literasi Melalui Bermain Pada Anak Usia Dini

Abstract
Growing literacy in early childhood is strongly influenced by the surrounding environment. Teachers have an important role in growing the literacy in children according to the age stage of its development. Through methods and media in accordance with the literacy, it is expected the child is ready to read and become the figure of active readers in the future. Playing is the most fun and appropriate activity for children to gain experience. The existing phenomenon based on observation, understanding, and knowledge of teachers, in general, is not sufficient in learning literacy and progress of literacy skills development of students. So the impact is the child gets an inappropriate word understanding. Therefore, teachers as teachers, mentors, motivators, facilitators, and mediators should be able to provide full support for the growth and development of literacy in children from an early age.

Abstrak
Menumbuhkan literasi pada anak usia dini sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan di sekitarnya. Guru mempunyai peran penting dalam menumbuhkan literasi pada anak sesuai tahapan usia perkembangannya. Melalui metode dan media yang sesuai dengan literasi, maka diharapkan anak siap untuk membaca dan menjadi sosok pembaca aktif di masa depannya. Bermain merupakan kegiatan yang paling menyenangkan dan sesuai bagi anak dalam memperoleh berbagai pengalaman. Fenomena yang ada dilapangan berdasarkan observasi, pemahaman dan pengetahuan guru pada umumnya belum mencukupi dalam pembelajaran literasi dan progres pengembangan kemampuan literasi anak didiknya. Sehingga dampaknya adalah anak mendapat pemahaman kata yang tidak tepat. Oleh sebab itu, guru sebagai pengajar, pembimbing, motivator, fasilitator maupun mediator hendaknya dapat memberikan dukungan penuh bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan literasi pada anak sejak dini.
