Learner Competence in Basic Learning to Read Al-Quran with the Yusro Method

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the competencies of teachers in learning basic reading of the Koran with the Yusro Method. This research has tested eleven basic rules of reading the Koran. This rule is a researcher's idea in constructing a new theory of basic learning in reading the Koran with a phonetic approach and basic recitation knowledge. The construction of the basic learning theory of reading the Koran is different from the construction of the previous theories. This study rests on the issue of the construction of basic learning to read the Koran, which leaves many students not fluent in reading the Koran. The problem is caused by the teacher's competence in learning is still weak. The research method used was descriptive method with purposive sampling technique for 86 TPA teachers in seven Kelurahans in Bungursari District, Tasikmalaya City, which were analyzed with quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings of this study indicate that the concept of learning to read the Koran with the Yusro Method has resulted in the teachers competency score Sufficiently in accordance with the average value of all concepts offered by 40.33% of the highest score of 100%.
