Scoping Review: Efek Murbei Putih terhadap Penurunan Glycemia Rodensia Model Diabetes Melitus

Abstrak

Pengobatan farmakologis diabetes melitus tipe 2 memiliki beberapa hambatan menjalaninya, seperti pengobatan berlangsung seumur hidup dan beragam efek samping. Salah satu pengobatan alternatif, yaitu ekstrak daun murbei putih. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menilai efek murbei putih terhadap penurunan glycemia pada rodensia model diabetes melitus tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode scoping review. Database yang digunakan, yaitu ScienceDirect, Ovid Clinical Edge, dan Google Scholar dengan kata kunci tertentu pada jurnal 2016-2021. Jumlah jurnal yang didapat, yaitu 5598 kemudian di screening dengan PICOS hingga didapatkan lima jurnal. Jurnal dengan kriteria eligible berdasarkan critical appraisal menggunakan instrumen arrive 2.0, yaitu sebanyak lima jurnal. Desain penelitian semua artikel, yaitu true experimental, dengan menggunakan  rodensia model diabetes melitus tipe 2. Intervensi yang diberikan adalah dengan berbagai sediaan daun murbei. Pengukuran pada jurnal terpilih, yaitu dengan One Touch Basic blood glucose monitoring system dan kolorimetri dengan Reactivos GPL kits. Hasil dari semua jurnal menunjukkan penurunan gula darah baik gula darah puasa, gula darah sewaktu, atau gula darah intraperitoneal. Proses yang terlibat dalam penurunan gula darah pada penelitian ini, yaitu dengan peningkatan ekspresi GLUT2 dan GLUT4, penurunan absorpsi glukosa di usus dan proses inflamasi, serta mempertahankan massa sel-β pankreas.

 

Abstract

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus has several  obstacles in carrying it out, including lifelong treatment, various of side effects. One of the alternative treatments is white mulberry leaf extract. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of white mulberry on reducing blood glucose in type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study used a scoping review method. The databases used are ScienceDirect, Ovid Clinical Edge and Google Scholar with the certain keyword taken from 2016–2021. The number of journals obtained was 5598 then screening with PICOS until it is obtained five journals. Journals appropriate with eligible criteria based on critical appraisal using arrive 2.0 instrument, which are five journals. The research design study of  all articles is true experimental, using a type 2 diabetes mellitus rodentia . Then intervention provided was with various forms of mulberry leaf. Measurement in the selected articles have various methods such as One Touch Basic blood glucose monitoring system and colorimetry with Reactivos GPL kits. The results of the three journals showed a decrease in fasting blood glucose, one journal showed a decrease in random blood glucose, and one article showed a decrease intraperitoneal blood sugar. The processes involved in lowering blood glucose in this study, by increase serum adiponectin, increase expression of GLUT2 and GLUT4, decrease absorption in the intestine and inflammatory process, and maintain the mass of pancreatic β-cell.
