Guru Besar tetap pada Fikom Unisba. Lahir di Solo, 29 November 1927. Mantan Dirjen Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah Departeman Pendidikan danKebudayaan serta dosen di Program Pascasarjana Unpad inimeraih gelar PhD-nya di Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA, tahun 1967, dalam bidang Psikologi-Sosial Komunikasi, dengan disertasi Institutional Credibility and Emotionality of Appeals as Determinants of Attitude Change.

Beberapa buku/ karya tulis ilmiahnya, antara lain: “MenjawabTantangan Revolusi Teknologi: Sistem Pendidikan Komunikasi Terpadu” (dalam Achmad dan Ecip, ed., Komunikasi dan Pembangunan, Sinar Harapan, Jakarta, 1985), “Strategies inFP/RH Communication” yang disampaikan dalam seminarinternasional di John Hopkins University, Baltimore (1997),“Community Partisipation and the Role Leader” (ESCAP InternationalSeminar on Population, Beijing, 1995), dan“Internsectoral Cooperation in Family Planning” (World BankSeminar in Pop. Development, Dakka, 1993), serta “SomeThoughts on IEC Strategy for the’90s” (Presented to the TechnicalWorking Group Meeting and Experts Group Meeting inPopulation Communication Strategies for the 1990’s,UNESCO, PROAP, 1992, Bangkok and Chiangmai, Thailand).
