Staf pengajar Jurusan Ilmu Komunikasi FISIP Universitas Lampung. Kandidat Doktor Ilmu Komunikasi pada Program Pascasarjana Universitas Padjadjaran. Menyelesaikan program Magister (S2) tahun 1994 pada Institut Pertanian Bogor, dengan mengambil spesialisasi Komunikasi Pembangunan. Penelitian dan penulisan yang pernah dilakukan antara lain, “Penggunaan Sumber-Sumber Informasi di Pedesaan” (1995), “Studi Tentang Kebutuhan Komunikasi Penyuluh Lapangan di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah” (1999), “Komunikasi Antarbudaya: Suatu Gagasan Mengurangi Benturan Budaya di Daerah Transmigrasi” (1995), “Strategi Komunikasi Pengembangan Bisnis Ayam Buras di Dataran Tinggi” (1997) dan “Urgensi Komunikasi dalam Pemberdayaan Wilayah” (1997).
