Bio Statement

Non-destructive testing (NDT) consists of a group of part testing methods for examining the serviceability of a part without jeopardizing its integrity. In concept, NDT tries to locate defects in a part's surface that forecast future failure prior to the part stops working in service and without compromising the part's utility. Similar to fluorescent dyes, magnetic particle testing uses a layer of great iron particles applied to a temporarily allured part. Both liquid penetrant and mag particle testing offer a quick, inexpensive ways of nondestructive defect detection, they are both limited to identifying the length and width of a defect.
